Teenage Driving
One of the most sought after courses we teach at Bondurant is requested by parents for their teenage drivers. We design teen programs to maximize the time allotted, teach skills and build confidence. Our Advanced Teenage Driving course builds on the fundamentals learned in the Teen Driving Program; students are required to have a valid driver’s license and a minimum of six months driving experience. Parents must accompany minors upon check-in.
We offer automatics as well as stick shift manual transmission vehicles. Each student will be assigned their own vehicle (no sharing!); classroom time is kept at a minimum with over 80% of the course spent in practical, personal instruction behind the wheel.
Teens are first taught proper seating, hand positioning, and seat adjustment. Once out on the Bondurant skills pad they learn and practice safe cornering techniques, skid control, and braking techniques. All students will experience our Accident Avoidance Simulator, a series of exercises that demonstrate emergency lane changes and braking distances.
All car control exercises in the Teen program are designed to have real world applications. The program emphasizes day-to-day driving while building confidence and awareness.
Features: Skid control, accident avoidance, shifting exercises, cornering and braking techniques
