Valentine's Day 2010 marked the forty-second anniversary of the founding of the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving, and the celebration coincided perfectly with the sixth round of the Bondurant Championship Race Series. Veterans of the series Jamie Slone, Alan McCallum, and Neil Alberico were joined by newcomer Lex Bernstein. Bernstein, a recent graduate of the school's 4-Day Grand Prix Road Racing course, exemplified how quickly Bondurant's training can prepare an amateur driver to go racing.

The series returned to Firebird Raceway's West course for the first time since the opening race of the season, with Slone being the only driver with previous experience on that track. With two wins during the weekend, Neil Alberico moved in to a narrow overall lead in the Bondurant Championship.
