Michael McDowell Joins The 2009 Nationwide Series

MICHAEL MCDOWELL JOINS JTG DAUGHERTY RACING
FOR THE 2009 NATIONWIDE SERIES
15 Races planned for McDowell and JTG Daugherty Team


February 5, 2009 (Chandler, Arizona) - Former Bob Bondurant instructor and NASCAR driver Michael McDowell made the announcement that he has signed with a new team, JTG Daugherty Racing. Michael will be racing the #47 Toyota Camry during the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series. This team is owned by Tad and Jodi Geschickter and Brad Daugherty, a former NBA all-star for the Cleveland Cavaliers and current ESPN commentator. McDowell is scheduled to compete in the season opener at Daytona on February 14, and the next 15 races that follow. The future of the team's remaining schedule will depend on their sponsorship support.


"I know that I'm climbing into a competitive program based on JTG's on-track performance," said McDowell, a 24-year-old native of Phoenix, Arizona. "Tad has a great reputation in the garage and has done an excellent job delivering a return to his sponsors."


Rolex 24 at Daytona Champion Comes Home to Bondurant

DAYTONA CHAMPION COMES HOME TO BONDURANT Former Bondurant School driving instructor Darren Law, this year's Rolex 24 at Daytona winner, returns home to celebrate. February 2, 2009 (Chandler, AZ) It was a big day for former Bob Bondurant School driving instructor Darren Law when he came home to Phoenix and the School to share his win with former co-workers and friends. Law, with a permanent grin, was still high from his Rolex 24 at Daytona victory when he walked into the school on Friday afternoon. To share his great moment with so many people who care about him was very special. He even took off his new Rolex Daytona watch, which he received as champion, and passed it around so all could share in his glory.

1.21.09 BONDURANT RECEIVES RRDC'S PHIL HILL AWARD IN DAYTONA

Daytona Beach, Fla. – Bob Boundurant quickly advanced from the ranks of a Morgan +4 driver in California Sports Car Club races on abandoned airport circuits to bringing to fruition Cobra builder Carroll Shelby’s wish to defeat Ferrari.

In 1965, Bondurant’s second season driving for Shelby, he achieved the goal by soundly defeating Ferrari for the FIA’s Manufacturers’ Championship in international GT racing for large-engined sports cars.

THE BONDURANT SCHOOL TAKES DELIVERY OF TWO NEW CORVETTE ZR1’S

December 1, 2008 (Chandler, AZ) - The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving took delivery of two new ZR1’s from General Motors today.  The new hot rod from Chevrolet will be used exclusively to train ZR1 owners.  The custom-designed course is included with the purchase of the vehicle from General Motors.

NEW TEEN COURSE FOR NEW DRIVERS

July 14, 2008 (Phoenix, AZ) - The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving announced a teen driving course for new drivers. The course is limited to 24 students and a 3:1 student to instructor ratio. Students will train in the Pontiac Solstice. Cost of the course is $795 with a $200 subsidy provided by General Motors, students pay $595.

COOL RELIEF AT BONDURANT

(Phoenix, AZ) - Relief from the heat is available at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving. Available immediately to students driving in courses offered at the international driving school is the technology used by military and surgeons that prevents heat-induced fatigue.
